Based in Warwickshire, England, Matt is the driving force behind some of the region’s most loved and successful venues, including 2025 Great British Pub Awards winner The Black Pug in Warwick, and the innovative Greek restaurant Taverna Meraki in Leamington Spa. Through his company, Beer & Coffee Co, Matt has built a portfolio of standout pubs, bars, and restaurants that blend heritage, hospitality, and modern flair.

Matt’s commitment to quality, community, and creativity has earned him and his venues multiple industry accolades, recognising not only great food and drink, but also genuine leadership and sustainable growth within hospitality.

As part of his dedication to the local hospitality and leisure sector, Matt serves on the Board of Directors of BID Leamington (the Business Improvement District for Royal Leamington Spa). His board role reinforces his commitment not only to individual venues but to the wider town-centre economy, evening economy and visitor experience. On the BID board he draws on his hospitality expertise to help shape strategic initiatives, support town-centre growth and champion the sector he knows inside-out.
